Around 200 cannabis plants found in several rooms of Oldbury property
Police said the plants will be destroyed
Police recovered around 200 cannabis plants from a property in Sandwell yesterday morning (Thursday 2 July) after officers executed a warrant.
Neighbourhood officers forced entry to an address on Salop Road, Oldbury, and found a cannabis grow in several rooms.
Sandwell Police said that the electricity had been bypassed but no one was found in the property.

The force is now making enquiries to find out who was involved in the drugs production, adding that the cannabis plants will be destroyed.
It said: “Cannabis farms pose a serious risk to the neighbourhoods they are active in. There is a risk of fire from the associated crime and anti-social behaviour that comes from them.
“Our teams across the West Midlands regularly carry out warrants at properties suspected of being involved in cannabis production. If you think there is something suspicious going on where you live, let us know by calling 101.
“Alternatively, give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
