Man arrested as he tried to 'flush drugs down the toilet' at Birmingham house during police raid
Police arrested a man in his 30s at an address in Birmingham where drugs and a machete were found.
West Midlands Police officers carried out a pre-planned warrant at an address in Hamstead Hall Avenue, Birmingham, today (March 25) and found a "significant" amount of suspected class A drugs.
Inside the property they found more than 60 wraps of suspected cocaine, crack and heroin, as well as around £2,000 in cash.
Police also discovered a machete.
A man in his 30s was found in the bathroom of the house trying to flush packages down the toilet, West Midlands Police said.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and remains in custody.
The enquiry is ongoing as police continue to examine the drugs and carry out further searches.
West Midlands Police raided the house as part of the force's County Lines crackdown.

The force said: "Every day officers from our County Lines Taskforce work with force colleagues to tackle the scourge of drug dealing in our communities.
"Gangs often use vulnerable people including children to transport and sell drugs for them, causing them to become trapped in a cycle of crime and misery.
"We'd urge anyone who has suspicions about this kind of activity to get in touch via 101 and tell us what you know."
