Wolverhampton Crown Court heard the five - all from Walsall - came across a group of cousins who were attending a funeral at the mosque, on March 30, 2023.

The court heard there was already 'bad blood' between the two groups and it quickly resulted in violence, with one of the five being punched by one of the people attending the funeral and a baseball bat being wielded in retaliation.

Sentencing the men for offences including threatening behaviour and affray, as well as one of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, Judge Jonathan Gosling said it was fortunate the baseball bat was only used on the legs of one of the victims and no serious injury was caused.
