Drugs, weapons and cash seized in Sandwell police crackdown
Police have seized drugs, weapons and cash during a week of intensified activity targeting crime in Sandwell.
Officers from West Midlands Police carried out a series of operations across the borough as part of a coordinated crackdown on drug dealing, violence and anti-social behaviour.
During the week of action, warrants were executed at a number of addresses, leading to the recovery of illegal drugs and weapons, along with significant amounts of cash believed to be linked to criminal activity.

Several arrests were made as officers worked to disrupt those suspected of being involved in the supply of drugs and other offences. Police also carried out patrols in hotspot areas, using stop-and-search powers to target individuals suspected of carrying weapons or drugs.
The operation forms part of wider efforts to tackle serious and organised crime across the region. Similar activity by specialist teams has seen dozens of arrests and weapons seized in recent months as part of ongoing enforcement work.
Neighbourhood officers were also involved in engaging with local communities, offering reassurance and gathering intelligence to support future action.
Residents are being encouraged to report suspicious activity as officers continue their work to reduce crime and improve safety across Sandwell.
Chief Superintendent Kim Madill, Sandwell Police, said: "Safeguarding young people and arresting those wanting to cause harm in our communities is a top priority.
"This intensification week is a great way to spread awareness of the dangers around county lines. We know organised gang activity, drug dealing, and the exploitation of vulnerable people is a concern all year round.
"Our officers are working hard to not only prevent crime happening but are working with partners to create long-term solutions so we can stop exploitation earlier.
"We work with our partners to provide better pathways for those leaving police custody, hoping they choose to step away from organised crime.
"We act on the information you provide so please tell us what you know."
