Man charged with attempted murder after Black Country shooting

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was shot in the leg in Smethwick.

Haytham Almosuli, aged 21, is accused of attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of two zombie knives in a private place, theft, fraud and motoring offences.

He will appear before magistrates in Birmingham today.

West Midlands Police were called to Bearwood Road, Smethwick, at around 1.30am on March 11 after the 19-year-old victim was shot in the leg.

The victim was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been released on police bail and released from hospital.

Police investigations continue and anyone who has any information or witnessed the incident is asked to contact West Midlands Police.
