Oldbury pub faces licence review after double stabbing - where one man suffered chest injuries
West Midlands Police has called for a council review of an Oldbury pub’s licence after a double stabbing earlier this month.
The Bulls Head in Birchfield Lane, Oldbury, will have its licence reviewed by Sandwell Council at the request of the region’s police force because of the “serious crime and disorder” it believed had taken place.
The council’s licensing committee has the power to suspend or revoke the pub’s licence.
Five people were arrested after two men were stabbed at the pub in the early hours of March 1.
The two injured men, in their 20s and 30s, were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

One man is described as having been stabbed in the chest in the police’s application to review the licence.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of Class B drugs, and a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of Class A drugs.
Police also arrested two women aged 34 and 44, and a 34-year-old man on suspicion of violent disorder.
The review application by West Midlands Police to Sandwell Council said: “On 1st March 2026, West Midlands Police were contacted by West Midlands Ambulance Service about a report of a person stabbed in the chest at the [Bulls Head].
