Adam Bailey and Reayarn Douglass, aged 23 appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Thursday, with Bailey having previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, while Douglass had admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cocaine and heroin.

Bailey, 43, of Birmingham, was handed a five-years-and-seven-months jail term, while Douglass, 23, of Birmingham, was handed an 180-hour unpaid work rehabilitation order, to be completed within the next 12 months.

The seized drugs, related paraphernalia and cash were also ordered to forfeited and destroyed.

Staffordshire Police said the convictions come after officers investigating the ‘B’ drugs line, searched a property in the Broadeye area of Stafford and a property in Aston, Birmingham, in June last year.

Drugs, cash and multiple mobile phones were recovered and both men were arrested.

The force said Douglass attempted to grab an unlocked mobile phone before his arrest, but officers managed to stop him, with analysis of the phone data showing messages offering the drugs throughout early April 2025.

Though both men answered ‘no comment’ in their interviews, they later went on to admit their offences in court.

Speaking following sentencing, Superintendent Victoria Downing, of the Staffordshire Police major and organised crime unit, said: “Bailey and Douglass were clearly involved in supplying class A drugs in Stafford and messages on their phones showed them offering these substances for sale.

“I am pleased they admitted their criminality and hope this shows how we will continue to work proactively to disrupt the supply of illegal drugs in the county.”
