Black Country man charged with shop thefts set to appear in court

A man is set to appear in court after being charged with stealing nearly £200 worth of goods from a shop.

West Midlands Police said that Justin Griffin had been charged with two counts of shop thefts and drug possession at a shop on Stourbridge High Street at the end of February.

The force said the 45-year-old, of Stourbridge, was remanded in custody and would appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Saturday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man is to appear before the courts after being charged with shop theft and drug offences. 

"Justin Griffin, aged 45, of Stourbridge, has been charged with two counts of shop theft and possession of Class A.

"It follows an investigation by Dudley officers into two shop thefts that occurred at a store on High Street, Stourbridge, on 24 and 25 February where nearly £200 worth of items were stolen.

"Griffin has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday."
