Police have arrested a teenager after police recover a knife behind a row of shops in West Bromwich
A teenager has been arrested after West Midlands Police recovered a knife following a stop and search in West Bromwich town centre.
Yesterday evening (Tuesday), officers from the Project Guardian team were patrolling along St Michaels Street when they spotted suspicious activity behind a row of shops.
Following a stop and search, a knife was recovered.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
