A man has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency after an incident in Tipton.

Police are investigating a report of an exposure on Wednesbury Oak Road, Tipton yesterday (March 9). 

A 72-year-old man was arrested and questioned on suspicion of outraging public decency, and has been bailed with strict conditions. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We want to reiterate this is an active, ongoing investigation, and we would urge people not to speculate or share photos online following the incident.

"We understand the distress this has caused to the local community and we have stepped up patrols in the area to offer reassurance. 

"Anyone with concerns should speak to local officers on call us on 101."
