Police have launched an investigation into a racial and religiously aggravated assault against a 14 year-old boy in Walsall
West Midlands Police officers are investigating a racially and religiously aggravated assault of a 14-year-old boy in Walsall.
The teenager was assaulted by up to six people in Pleck Park at around 5pm yesterday (Friday).
Those involved are described as wearing all black clothing.
A spokesperson for WMP said: “We are taking this very seriously, and our investigators are carrying out fast-track enquiries including reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved.
“We understand the concern, and our officers are linked in with key members of the community.
“We are keen to hear from anyone with information and have set up a Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) where any images, videos or information can be submitted here: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/20HQ26C03-PO1”
Police are also urging any one with information to contact them via Live Chat on the West Midlands Police website or by calling 101 quoting log 4696 of 6 March.
Hate Crime incidents can also be reported through Walsall Safe Spaces or Third Party Reporting Centres such as True Vision, Stop Hate UK and Crimestoppers if you do not want to talk directly to the Police.
