Two more youths charged with murder of 18-year-old stabbed to death outside Black Country mosque
Two more teenagers have been charged over the murder of Zeshan Afzal, who was fatally stabbed outside a mosque in Smethwick.
Two boys, both aged 17, were detained yesterday (March 3) in connection with the death of 18-year-old Zeshan, who was found seriously injured in Oldbury Road on February 20 and died shortly afterwards.
The pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have now been charged with murder and remanded to appear before Wolverhampton Youth Court tomorrow (March 5). It takes the number of youths charged with the murder to five.
A 16-year-old and 17-year-old appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday, speaking only to confirm their names and addresses. Both were remanded in youth detention until April 17.
Another 17-year-old was previously charged and has already appeared in court.

Zeshan's funeral took place at the Jamia Masjid in Smethwick on Sunday, near to where he died in the car park after disorder shortly after 9pm on February 20.
Detective Inspector Ade George from West Midlands Police's homicide unit said: "This remains a very active investigation as we establish exactly what happened and who was involved.
"We believe there are a number of people who have information but haven't spoken to us so far. We understand some may be reluctant to come forward, but it's crucial you do and tell us what you know.
"Your information, alongside what we've received so far, could be vital in helping us get justice for Zeshan and his family. It's tragic someone so young has had their life taken away from them.
