Two more teenagers arrested after Smethwick mosque stabbing as pair appear in court charged with murder
Two more teenagers have been arrested in connection with the murder of Zeshan Afzal who was fatally stabbed in Smethwick.
West Midlands Police detained the pair, both aged 17, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 3 morning and both have been taken into custody for questioning.
Three other teens had already been charged in relation to the stabbing which happened in the car park at the town's Jamia Masjid.
In a separate move a 16-year-old and 17-year-old appeared before a judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court this morning charged with Zeshan's murder.
Another 17-year-old was previously charged and has already appeared in court.

18-year-old Zeshan was found seriously injured in the Oldbury Road grounds following disorder at just before 9pm as Ramadan prayers drew o a close on February 20.
Detective Inspector Ade George, from West Midlands Police's homicide unit, said: "This remains a very active investigation as we establish exactly what happened and who was involved.
"We believe there are a number of people who have information but haven't spoken to us so far. We understand some may be reluctant to come forward, but it's crucial you do and tell us what you know.
"Your information, alongside what we've received so far, could be vital in helping us get justice for Zeshan and his family. It's tragic someone so young has had their life taken away from them.

At the latest hearing at the court on Tuesday the 16 and 17-year-old defendants, who cannot be publicly named due to being aged under 18, both spoke only to confirm their names and addresses. Both were remanded in youth detention and matter adjourned until April 17.
There was no application for bail.
