Staffordshire man, 32, arrested after woman dies in fatal car crash
A man from Great Wyrley has been arrested after a fatal car crash in Staffordshire.
Emergency services were called at 10.45pm on Saturday, February 28 to Barton Gate, Barton-under-Needwood, following reports of a collision involving a grey Audi.
Staffordshire Police officers attended the incident alongside Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Sadly, a woman died at the scene. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.
Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision. A 32-year-old man, from Great Wyrley, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The force are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to contact them by calling 101, quoting incident 920 of 28 February, or using Live Chat on their website.
