Staffordshire man, 32, arrested after woman dies in fatal car crash

A man from Great Wyrley has been arrested after a fatal car crash in Staffordshire.

Emergency services were called at 10.45pm on Saturday, February 28 to Barton Gate, Barton-under-Needwood, following reports of a collision involving a grey Audi.

Staffordshire Police officers attended the incident alongside Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Sadly, a woman died at the scene. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision. A 32-year-old man, from Great Wyrley, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
