Mohammed Ahmed was part of the ‘Jason’ drugs line which predominantly traded crack cocaine and heroin in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police recovered Class A drugs from Ahmed, within a car he was driving and from an address linked to him.

Its County Lines Taskforce also recovered ammunition and wads of cash after executing a search warrant at his home in Sparkhill in March last year.

Ahmed arrived home during the raid and then drove off to avoid being detained by officers.

However, it was a short reprieve for him as he was arrested within a week from another car in Nechells.

As part of the police force's investigations officers established that he sent out business cards advertising his services.

The 27-year-old also had videos on his phone showing heroin being blended and packaged, as well as videos and photos of large amounts of cash and drugs.

Ahmed made no comment in his police interview but the police force's County Lines Taskforce were able to build the case from the overwhelming amount of evidence found in his house, car and in his possession.

Ahmed, of Doris Road, was convicted of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs between April 2024 and 2025, possessing ammunition, having criminal property and driving offences.

He was jailed for nine years last Friday (20 February) at Birmingham Crown Court.

Detective Sergeant Adam Buzzard said: “Drugs not only ruin lives but fuel further crime and we’ve managed to shut down a significant drugs line.

“Ahmed was trading Class A drugs in the region and I’m sure this would have continued had he not been stopped.

“Ahmed tried to avoid capture but it was only a short reprieve, and he has rightly lost his freedom.”
