Amy Coxon, aged 40, was due to be sentenced for fraud at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday(25) after previously admitting the charge, but the court heard she was unable to participate in the pre-sentencing assessment due to the recent death of her father.

Mitigating for the defendant, Miss  Lizzie Bannahan said: "Your sentence is going to be adjourned to May 20 because the probation services suggests there might be merit in looking into mental health treatment  for you."
