Police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death outside a mosque in Smethwick yesterday (February 20) - follow our live updates from the scene.

West Midlands Police say officers were called to the scene of a disorder outside a mosque on Oldbury Road, Smethwick at just before 9pm and found an 18-year-old man with serious injuries. 

The teenager, who was reportedly stabbed, tragically died. West Midlands Police said their "thoughts are with his loved ones at this devastating time."

Two other men - aged 19 and 22 - were taken to hospital although their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
