Neo Graham murder trial: Suspect fled the country after Wolverhampton drive-by shooting
A gunman suspected of being responsible for killing a 24-year-old in a drive-by shooting in Wolverhampton fled abroad before he could be arrested by detectives.
Neo Graham was shot in the head in Eastfield Road off Old Heath Road in Eastfields, Wolverhampton, in broad daylight at 3.20pm on March 4 and died at the scene off Willenhall Road.
Opening the case prosecutor Mr Matthew Brook KC said: "At 3.19pm on March 4 last year Neo Graham and another man were stood on the pavement in Eastfield Road here in Wolverhampton. A stolen Clio car driven by Koketso Ximba drove past with a man named Israel May in the front passenger seat where Neo Graham was standing.
"They had a Glock handgun with them. Six shots were fired from the gun. One of those shots hit Neo Graham in the head and killed him.
"Ximba and Israel May then rapidly drive off from the scene. Israel May is not in the dock and there is a very simple reason for that. He managed to flee the country before the police could arrest him."
