Staffordshire drug dealer, 33, jailed after 16 bags of cocaine found in deodorant tub during struggle with police
A man has been jailed for more than two years after trying to run from a car containing a deodorant tub full of drugs in Staffordshire.
Arben Lusha, aged 33, from Droitwich, was jailed for two-years-and-nine-months at Stafford Crown Court on Monday, February 16 after admitting possession with intent to supply class A drugs, cocaine; driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
Staffordshire Police officers had stopped a silver Citroen C4 on Christchurch Road in Tamworth on November 20 last year. Lusha struggled with officers and managed to get out of the car before attempting to run off, but he was arrested and the car was searched.

A total of 16 bags of cocaine were discovered concealed in a tub along with cash and multiple mobile phones.
Lusha later went on to admit the offences in court and following his conviction, was ordered to forfeit the drugs and cash as part of his sentence.

Speaking following sentencing, Superintendent Victoria Downing from Staffordshire Police's major and organised crime unit, said: “Lusha knew what we would find in the vehicle and his attempt to evade officers demonstrated his involvement in criminal activity.
“I am pleased he admitted his offending in court and that he has been handed a custodial sentence.
“We will continue to do all we can to disrupt the supply of illegal substances in Staffordshire and protect our communities from the harm these substances cause.”
