Shots fired and man, 23, found with stab wounds in Kingswinford - six arrested and police cordon in place

Six men have been arrested after shots were fired during disorder in Kingswinford in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 1am on Wednesday, February 18, West Midlands Police received reports that shots were fired on Ketley Fields.

A 23-year-old man was found with stab wounds and was taken to hospital with injuries which were not believed to be life changing. Officers also arrested him on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

Following a pursuit, with support from National Police Air Service, armed officers made a further five arrests off Oak Lane.

Two men, aged 22 and 29 were found hiding in trees.

A 22-year-old man was found hiding in a well. He has been taken to hospital for treatment for a broken leg.

Two men, aged 23 and 33, were also arrested from nearby.

All six have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A cordon is still in place on Ketley Fields while police carry out enquiries.
