A man has been jailed for over a dozen car-key burglary offences across Oldbury, Staffordshire, Solihull and Leicestershire.

West Midlands Police Solihull Neighbourhood Crime Team told how they investigated multiple car key burglaries in the borough and identified a suspect following enquiries.

Brayden Page was then arrested in December from an address in Shard End, Birmingham, and charged with over a dozen offences.

The 22-year-old went on to plead guilty to eight burglary offences and 13 theft of motor vehicle offences.

Police said the total value of the thefts exceeded £340,000.

The offences were committed between April and May last year.

On Tuesday (February 10), Page, of no fixed address was jailed for four years.

Detective Sergeant Charlie Edwards, from our Solihull Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "Page was prolific in breaking into people's homes and stealing numerous vehicles from residents.

"Thankfully, following investigative work and help from the community, we were able to identify Page as the offender and lock him up.

“Burglary is a really invasive crime that can cause long-lasting damage to people's lives, so I hope that this sentence will give each of the victims some peace that he will now serve time behind bars for his crimes."
