Man charged after suspicious activity at Birmingham building site
A man has been charged with attempted theft after police responded to reports of suspicious activity on a building site.
West Midlands Police confirmed that Dominic Lorello had been arrested on Friday night after officers from Operation Skybridge were called to Camden Street.
The 43-year-old, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday. No details are yet available of his appearance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after we responded to suspicious activity at a building site in Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.
"Dominic Lorello, aged 43 of no fixed address has been charged with attempt theft.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
"This comes after officers from our Op Skybridge team were called to reports of a break-in on Camden Street at 9.35pm on Friday night (13 Feb).
"Officers detained a man within minutes of the call.
"Skybridge is a Birmingham proactive crime-fighting team who are currently deployed to the Shard End area. Their focus is on tackling offences which include theft, burglary, robbery, and vehicle crime."
