Stafford man jailed after police seized a kilo of cannabis disguised as a yoga mat

A man has been jailed after a kilo of imported cannabis disguised as a yoga mat was seized in Stafford.

Bradley James Forrester was sentenced to one year behind bars at Stafford Crown Court yesterday (February 12) after he admitted being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B.

In October last year, a package containing one kilogram of cannabis was delivered to a home address in Stafford, disguised as a yoga mat.

The package was seized by officers and following an investigation, it was revealed that it came from America.

Forrester, 30, of Bedford Avenue, Stafford, was arrested and despite answering ‘no comment’ when interviewed in custody, he later admitted the offence when presented with the evidence against him.
