Suspected thief due in court after thefts at several Sutton Coldfield shops

A suspected thief is due in court after being charged with stealing from shops in Sutton Coldfield.

On Thursday, February 12 morning, Neville Cole was arrested on suspicion of stealing from shops on the Retail Park, and has subsequently been charged with eight shop thefts.

The 51-year-old, from Kingstanding, was remanded in custody and is due before Birmingham Magistrates tomorrow.

West Midlands Police say tackling shop theft is a priority for local officers in Sutton Coldfield, and they are working hard with partners and businesses to prevent it.

As part of this, the Sutton Vesey Neighbourhood Team regularly patrol key locations including Princess Alice Retail Park.
