Appeal launched by police following disorder involving fighting with weapons in Bearwood
An appeal has been launched for witnesses and footage following a disorder incident in Bearwood which left three men in hospital.
West Midlands Police said it had launched the appeal after being alerted to reports of a group fighting with weapons on Bearwood Road on Wednesday evening, with three men taken to hospital, having also been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
The force said another man had remained in custody for questioning on suspicion of wounding and the road had been closed for initial investigations before being reopened.
It has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We're appealing for witnesses and footage as we continue to investigate disorder in Bearwood.
"We were alerted to a group fighting with weapons on Bearwood Road at just before 6pm yesterday.
"Three men are currently in hospital, one with potentially serious injuries, following the disorder.
"The men - aged between 19 and 30 - have been arrested on suspicion of wounding. They will be questioned when medically fit.
"Another man, aged 42, has also been detained on suspicion of wounding and is currently in custody for questioning.
"The road was closed during initial investigations but has since re-opened.
"We're currently assessing CCTV we've recovered but we know there were a number of people in the area at the time, and we're keen to hear from anybody with information or mobile phone footage.
"We're particularly interested in any dashcam footage from motorists who were driving through the area.
