Police have released footage of a man they want to speak to after a man was punched in the face at a bar in Digbeth in Birmingham

West Midlands Police have appealed for information following an assault at Nortons bar in Digbeth, Birmingham, that left a man with a broken ankle and bruising. 

The assault took place in Nortons bar in Meriden Street at around 8pm on Boxing Day, and saw a man being punched in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

West Midlands Police said that the man was left with a broken ankle and bruising following the assault, and have since released CCTV footage showing a man they wish to talk to in relation to the incident. 

A force spokesperson said: "Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him after an assault at Nortons bar in Digbeth.

"A man was punched in the face, causing him to fall and leaving him with a broken ankle and bruising.

"It happened at around 8pm on Boxing Day at the Meriden Street venue."
