Police probe launched after abuse and threats made towards staff at Birmingham hospital

An appeal for information has been launched after a man began shouting 'racist' abuse at several people at Birmingham Hospital.

West Midlands Police have asked for help in identifying a man they wish to talk to after an incident at the Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham.

It comes following an incident at 4pm on January 14 at Birmingham's Heartland Hospital, where a man entered the facility and began shouting racist abuse at several people and making threats.

West Midlands Police confirmed that officers are investigating the incident and are keen to speak to the man pictured to find out more about what happened. 

Anyone who recognises the man, or was there when it happened, is asked to contact 101, quoting crime number 20/113352/26. 

A force spokesperson said: "Do you recognise this man?

We're looking to speak to him after an incident at a hospital in Birmingham.

"At around 4pm on 14 January, a man entered Heartlands Hospital where he began shouting racist abuse at several people and making threats.

"Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to this man and find out more about what happened."
