Anti-social behaviour order to be put into place as officers tackle an 'increase in reports' of disorder in Lichfield
A section 34 order against anti-social behaviour will be put into place for Lichfield following a rise in incidents this year.
Staffordshire Police will enforce a section 34 'dispersal' order in place for Lichfield this weekend following an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour.
It comes as the force reports 'an increase in reports' of disorder in the city, particularly those involving large groups of young people gathering, being abusive, and causing disruption in the area.

The order gives police the power to disperse anyone for the purpose of reducing the likelihood of the public being harassed, alarmed or distressed.
The order will come into place at 3pm on Friday (February 6) and will remain in place until 3pm on Sunday (February 8).
The order was also announced after the force registered further reports of cannabis use, disorder and criminal damage, alongside the use of e-scooters, e-bikes and off-road bikes.
Inspector Melissa Byrne, from the Lichfield local policing team, said: "We don't take this type of behaviour lightly, and we know that anti-social behaviour and associated criminality are having an effect on local people and businesses.
"We're using all of the tools at our disposal to act on these concerns and to put a stop to those persistently causing fear and alarm in our communities.
"We’re urging parents and guardians in the area to make sure that young people know this order is in place over the weekend and to explain the consequences that persistent anti-social behaviour can have, both in respect of action taken against offenders and the impact their criminality can have on the local community."
