Four men charged as County Lines Taskforce seize drugs in Birmingham
Four men have been charged after a police County Lines Taskforce carried out two warrants in Birmingham as part of an investigation into the supply of Class A drugs.
The warrants were executed on Monday by West Midlands Police at addresses in the Highgate area of Birmingham, as the County Lines Taskforce (CLTF) worked with colleagues from across the force, including the Operational Support Unit.
Derek Dovalle, 23, Emilio Robertson, 20, Omari Lester, 18, and Daiyaan Campbell-Lawrence, 19, were all arrested and subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The four, all from Birmingham, were due at the city's magistrates court on Wednesday.
During the warrants, quantities of suspected heroin and crack cocaine were recovered and sent for analysis.
Detective Inspector Mark Robinson, from the CLTF, said: "This was a significant operation, which our officers worked quickly to plan and execute, which is a testament to their professionalism.
“There was a large-scale police presence in the area for this operation, and we’re grateful for the support of the local community as we work to tackle the supply of drugs."
