Police want to speak to this man over Birmingham glassing attack that left victim needing more than a dozen stitches

An investigation has been launched after a man was attacked with a glass in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police is appealing for information following an assault at a bar in Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, where a man was attacked with a glass. 

At around midnight on December 21 an assailant smashed a glass in the victim's face. He was left needing more than a dozen stitches.

Police have been carrying out CCTV enquiries but have to identify the attacker. Officers have now released a photo of a person they would like to speak to as part of the investigation.

A force spokesperson said: "We want to speak to this person after a man was assaulted and had a glass smashed in his face at a bar on Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, at around midnight on December 21.
