Mother on trial accused of murdering baby in West Bromwich fails to arrive at court three days in a row
The judge in the trial of a mother accused of killing her baby girl in West Bromwich was left apologising to jurors after she failed to arrive three days in a row.
Zara Arsalan, aged 31, also known as Sharandeep Talwandi, is standing trial at Coventry Crown Court accused of murdering baby Harleen Bains causing her multiple skull fractures and bleeding on the brain on July 23, 2020.
On Monday for the third time, the defendant aged 31, who is in custody on remand failed to arrive for the hearing which is approaching the defence stage. As a result the proceeding have halted temporarily.
