Jailed: Woman who stole car from Darlaston pensioners
A woman has been jailed after stealing a car from an elderly Darlaston couple who were not aware the vehicle was gone until four hours later.
Charlotte Johnson was with accomplice Darren Fraser outside a property in Slater Street, Darlaston at around 7am on October 14 last year when he entered the house through an unlocked back door and stole a handbag containing cash and car keys to the householder's Volvo.
The couple, aged 79 and 80 didn't realise the car or handbag had gone on the day until 11am when the husband went to the front of the property to take the car for a wash and found it had gone.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard the pair were later seen by neighbours rooting through the bag and Johnson drove off in the Volvo, with CCTV taken from nearby houses used to identify them.
