Three due in court after drugs and weapons seized by County Lines Taskforce in West Midlands raids
Three men have been charged with drug possession offences after a series of warrants were carried out by police.
Isaac Mason, Andrew Clarke and Remel Hemmings were all arrested as part of the warrants in Birmingham and Solihull on Wednesday in a target enforcement by West Midlands Police into a County Lines drug line.
The three men were charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, with Clarke also charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and Hemmings with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, as well as acquire / use / possess criminal property.
All three were due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday. No details are yet available of their appearance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Three men have been charged after our County Lines Taskforce carried out warrants in Birmingham and Solihull.
"The warrants were carried out at five addresses yesterday, as the Taskforce targeted enforcement against a drugs line.
"A large quantity of Class A drugs was recovered, as well as cash, mobile phones, and weapons.
"Three men – Isaac Mason, Andrew Clarke, and Remel Hemmings – were all arrested and subsequently charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
"Clarke, aged 43, was also charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.
"Hemmings, aged 26, was also charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, as well as acquire / use / possess criminal property.
"Both will appear at Birmingham Magistrates court along with Mason, aged 26, today.
"Enquiries are continuing as our County Lines Taksforce works to disrupt the supply of drugs across the West Midlands."
