Cannabis plants seized and two arrests after police called to Walsall property

Two people were arrested after 40 cannabis plants were found in a property in Walsall.

Officers from West Midlands Police were called to the property on Dartmouth Close on Tuesday evening and, upon further inspection, found the plants in an upstairs bedroom and in the loft.

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, with the force confirmed they had been bailed as enquiries continued.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We discovered 40 cannabis plants and arrested two people after being called to a property in Walsall.

"Response officers were called to a property on Dartmouth Close, shortly before 7.30pm, on Tuesday.

"Inside the property we discovered 40 cannabis plants in an upstairs bedrooms and the loft.

"One woman, aged 46 and a 25-year-old man were taken into custody on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. They have since been bailed as our enquiries continue.
