Illegal street racing event in Birmingham disrupted by police after the event was promoted on TikTok - woman, 21, arrested
Police have disrupted an illegal street racing event in Birmingham which was being promoted on TikTok and arrested a woman aged 21
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance after police disrupted an illegal street racing event planned in the Small Heath area of Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said that it is believed that a street racing event was being organised via TikTok.
A woman, aged 21, was arrested and is currently on bail with strict conditions as West Midlands Police continue with their enquiries.

The enforcement is part of 'Operation Hercules' which is an ongoing campaign targeting people involved in street racing or car cruising where vehicles are driven in an anti-social or dangerous manner.
PC Mark Smith, investigator on the Op Hercules team, said: “This positive arrest prevented the New Years Eve car meet taking place and sends out a clear message to any potential or wannabe street racing organiser that we will be taking action against them.
“We need motorists to understand that we won’t tolerate illegal street racing or cruising on the region’s roads and will take action against motorists who flout the law and put other road users at risk. If you come to the West Midlands and engage in street racing, you will be convicted for driving offences and could be given a custodial sentence. “
