Pressure has been mounting on the West Midlands Police Chief Constable Craig Guildford over the last few days amid 'mistakes made' over a ban on Macabi Tel-Aviv fans from a match against Aston Villa in Birmingham last year.

Guilford has so far resisted calls to resign after apologising for giving incorrect evidence about the controversy to MPs which included denying that AI had been used in a report that informed the decision.

However, Commissioner Simon Foster is due to make a statement on the issue outside force headquarters Lloyd House in Birmingham at 4pm today.
