Three men charged with theft offences as police continue to tackle retail crime across Dudley

Three men have been charged in connection with multiple shop thefts across Dudley borough.

West Midlands Police confirmed that Lee Hancox, 34 from Brierley Hill, had been charged with 13 shop theft offences and one count of common assault relating to incidents in December and January in Brierley Hill.

The force confirmed that Hancox had been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Saturday.

It also confirmed that Tyler Doleman, 20, had been charged with shop theft and criminal damage. 

These charges were in relation to items being stolen from a store on High Street in Pensnett on December 28 and a fire door was damaged at a property on Moor Street in Brierley Hill on January 12.

Finally, the force said that Alan Dyke, 49 from Stourbridge, had been charged with two counts of shop theft and possession of class A drugs.

It said that items were stolen from a supermarket in Stourbridge town centre on January 6 and January 10, then, on January 14, officers responded to a report of suspicious behaviour on a car park in Church Street and recovered a quantity of class A drugs.

Doleman and Dyke were remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday. No details are yet available of their appearance.
