Man admits string of badger baiting offences near Dudley

A man has admitted a string of badger baiting offences at Dudley Magistrates Court.

Daniel Thomas Lea pleaded guilty to 17 offences including interfering with badger setts, digging for the animals and wilfully injuring them under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992. 

The 35-year-old, of Belbroughton Road, Stourbridge, also pleaded guilty to  causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely a black Patterdale terrier type dog known as Roco, by an act, namely engaging the dog with a fox under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
