Two teenagers arrested after knuckle duster and cannabis seized in Sandwell

Two teenagers are in custody after police recovered a weapon and drugs from a car in Sandwell.

West Midlands Police have announced that two teenagers, both aged 18, have been arrested after officers recovered drugs and weapons from a car in Sandwell.

West Midlands Police officers were on patrol in West Bromwich town centre on Tuesday afternoon when they spotted a suspicious vehicle on the Ringway.

Officers carried out searches of the vehicle and seized a knuckle duster and cannabis.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and drugs.

Another 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of having drugs.

They're continuing to be questioned by officers.

A force spokesperson said: "We have two teenagers in custody after recovering a weapon and drugs from a car in Sandwell.

"Officers were on patrol in the town centre when they spotted a suspicious vehicle on West Bromwich Ringway yesterday afternoon (13 January). We carried out searches and seized a knuckle duster and cannabis.

"An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and drugs. A 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of having drugs.

"They're continuing to be questioned by officers."
