Pensioner hospitalised in Cannock hit-and-run crash sparking police appeal

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was injured in a non-stop crash in Cannock.

Staffordshire Police were called shortly after 7.30pm on Friday, January 9 to Cannock Road in Chadsmoor.

A pedestrian, a man, had been involved in a collision with a car. The car left the scene after the collision.

Prior to the collision, the vehicle had been travelling in the direction of Starbucks in Hednesford.

The car is described as possibly being a small, black, hatchback-type vehicle.

The victim, who is in his 30s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries and continues to undergo treatment in hospital.

We are urging the driver of the vehicle who failed to stop at the scene to get in touch with us.

We are also appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to contact us.
