Wolverhampton Christmas Day killing: Brothers appear at court charged with murder
Two brothers have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of Trey Johnson in Wolverhampton on Christmas Day.
Richard Beckles, aged 19, and Tiego Beckles, aged 20, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday (January 9) charged with murder, wounding with intent, and threatening someone with a bladed article in a public place.
The men, both from Wolverhampton, will appear at the city’s crown court on Monday.
Mr Johnson, aged 30, was found seriously injured in Burcot Avenue in the Deansfield area of the city on December 25 just after 3.30am.
He had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Richard and Tiego Beckles were both arrested on Wednesday and charged on Thursday.

Detective Inspector Michelle Cordell, from West Midlands Police's Homicide team, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation, which is continuing.
“We are still keen to hear from anyone with information about what happened – and would urge anyone who has not yet done so to please get in touch.”
