Dudley man who wielded an axe in Willenhall Tesco car park 'had no intention of hurting anyone'
A man who wielded an axe during an altercation with a former friend at a Willenhall convenience store has avoided jail.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard Liam Newey, aged 25 was 'posturing' when he grabbed an axe and swung it round as the two men threatened to fight during the incident on the car park of Tesco Express, High Road, Lane Head, Willenhall on September 16.
The court heard the two men had previously been friends until an argument between them and it was a chance meeting when Newey arrived in his car at around 2pm.
