Former West Mercia Police Community Support Officer charged with misconduct
A former community support officer has been charged with misconduct in public office.
Tom Poole was charged with three counts of misconduct in public office relating to an investigation into suspected inappropriate relationships with three victims.
The 37-year-old, who had been a police community support officer in Redditch, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court in December and was due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court today.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "A former West Mercia Police member of staff has been charged with misconduct in public office.
"Tom Poole, 37, who was a police community support officer based in Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team has been charged with three counts of misconduct in public office.
"The charges relate to an investigation into suspected inappropriate relationships with three victims.
"The 37-year-old first appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court last month and is due to next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday, January 8.
"He has since resigned from the force."
