Two men charged over Wolverhampton shop thefts
Two men have been charged following separate retail thefts in Wolverhampton.
Teodor-Daniel Ciucea, aged 55, from Tipton, was charged after security teams inside the Mander Centre detained a man in connection with the theft of items from the Frasers shop inside the centre.
Ciucea was later charged with attempted theft from a shop.
Paul Spruce, aged 45 from Bushbury, was also charged following an arrest in Elston Hall Lane, when West Midlands Police's neighbourhood officers spotted a man who was wanted for questioning in connection with thefts from a shop in Oxley on December 10, and again on December 16.
Spruce was later charged with two counts of theft from a shop.
Both men were due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday (January 7).
A force spokesperson said: "Our teams are taking part in the national Winter of Action initiative where we work with partners in town centres across the region tackling crime, reassuring communities, and ensuring our high streets are welcoming and safe for everyone."
