'Help us to get justice for him' - Heartfelt plea from heartbroken family of man who died after assault outside Birmingham bar
The heartbroken family of a man who died after being assaulted outside a Birmingham bar have appealed for the public's help to bring those responsible to justice.
Joshua Johnson-Hector, aged 31, suffered a serious head injury outside the Savanna cocktail bar, in Bristol Street, in Birmingham, at around 4.15am on 28 December and did not recover.
Today his heartbroken family have released a photograph of him in tribute to his memory.
They stated: “Joshua comes from a loving family who are devastated by his killing and untimely death.
“We are requesting that anyone who may have seen Joshua before, during or after the assault to please come forward and help us to get justice for him.
“Even if you had witnessed something you feel is of no importance, seemingly insignificant pieces of information could be of great help.

“This can be done by contacting the police. You have the option to remain anonymous and every piece of information is helpful and welcome.
“We are grateful to those who have already come forward and appreciate those who are courageous enough to continue to help with this matter.
“We are unable to bring our son and brother back, yet we have the right to bring those responsible to justice.”
The 31-year-old was taken to hospital, but died on Monday afternoon.
West Midlands Police said its investigation was continuing and witnesses or anyone with information should call detectives on 101 and quoting log number of 587 of December 28.
"We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have information to assist our investigation into exactly what happened," the force said.
Richard Deakin, aged 37, of Moorfield Drive, Halesowen, has since appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court charged with Mr Johnson-Hector's manslaughter.
He has been remanded in custody.
