Two men arrested on suspicion of interfering with motor vehicles in Walsall at 2am
Two men were arrested after police responded quickly to an early morning report of suspicious activity around cars in an area of Walsall.
Officers from Walsall Police responded to reports of people trying car door handles on Hough Road in Pleck just before 2am on Wednesday (December 31) and arrested two men, both aged 30, on suspicion of interfering with a motor vehicle.
A spokesman for Walsall Police said: "We've arrested two men after quickly responding to reports of people trying car door handles in Walsall this morning.
"We received a report of suspicious activity on Hough Road in Pleck at just before 2am.
"Officers were swiftly on the scene and arrested two men, both aged 30, on suspicion of interfering with a motor vehicle.
"They remain in custody for questioning.
"We know the impact of vehicle crime on our communities, on daily lives and livelihoods, and we'll always look to identify and detain anyone involved in offences."
