Dangerous driving charge for Walsall man after police chase
A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a chase with police through parts of Sandwell.
A vehicle was spotted driving dangerously in Walsall on Monday (December 29), with West Midlands Police's response officers from Sandwell, assisted by the National Police Air Service, giving chase and eventually arresting a 26-year-old man on Cypress Road in Yew Tree.
Callum Nightingale, of Walsall, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with dangerous driving as well as driving without insuance and was remanded in custody to appear at crown court in the city on January 27.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has appeared in court after being charged with dangerous driving offences.
"Callum Nightingale, of Walsall, has been charged with driving dangerously and driving whilst disqualified.
"The 26-year-old appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today (December 30) where he was remanded in custody to next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on January 27."
