Three arrests after man shot in Willenhall left fighting for his life
Three people have been arrested several days after a shooting incident which left a man fighting for his life.
West Midlands Police confirmed that two men and a woman had been arrested in connection with the shooting incident, which took place on Wordsworth Road in Willenhall on the evening of December 23.
The force said a 50-year-old man had been arrested on Monday night on suspicion of attempted murder, along with a 61-year-old woman, who was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
It also said that a 28-year-old man had been arrested on Tuesday morning on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, with all three remaining in custody.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve arrested two men and a woman after a man was discovered with a gunshot wound in Willenhall.
"A 50-year-old man was arrested last night (December 29) on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was discovered with life-threatening injuries on Wordsworth Road, on the evening of December 23.
"A 61-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
"This morning we arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. All three remain in custody as we continue with our enquiries.

"A man, in his 20s, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
