Two knives recovered in Wolverhampton city centre as police spot suspicious vehicle

Police have recovered two knives and made three arrests after spotting a suspicious vehicle in Wolverhampton city centre.

West Midlands Police officers approached the car in Broad Street, Wolverhampton at around 5pm on Sunday, December 28.

A 25-year-old man was detained from the vehicle and two others attempted to make off.

After a short foot chase officers detained another 25-year-old man and a man aged 20.

A search of the vehicle led to two lock knives being recovered.

All three were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and remain in custody for questioning.
