Fatal Wolverhampton stabbing: Recap as two men arrested on suspicion of murdering 30-year-old on Christmas Day

Two men are being held by police on suspicion of murder in Wolverhampton in the early hours of Christmas Day.

A 30-year-old man was stabbed in Wolverhampton early on Thursday. Emergency service crews were called to Burcot Avenue in Deansfield, east of the city centre, at about 3.30am but nothing could be done to save the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 35 and 58, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

West Midlands Police officers remained at the scene today and the force says it is conducting "quick-time" enquiries into the circumstances.
